SAE's Certificate programs are ideal for younger students, hobbyists and as a foundation for further learning. These programs are also delivered in flexible, part-time formats that allow students who may be working to study with SAE. Our certificate programs are vocational, and upon completion do not include job placement assistance.

SAE's Diploma programs have received industry and academic acclaim for over nearly 30 years across the globe. These intensive programs are the foundation of every SAE qualification and offer high-level, hands-on practical training in combination with advanced theoretical study. This powerful combination provides our students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the competitive creative media industries as well as equipping graduates for further study to degree level outside the U.S. Diploma programs offered by SAE-SF:
Audio
Technology Program
Hands-on training for a career in audio.
SAE-SF currently offers one area of specialization:
This ATP course offers students a thorough education of all aspects of audio engineering and is designed to train the future professionals of the audio industry. This highly practical course provides students with skills in all audio production-related areas and provides an excellent pathway into careers in post-production, surround sound (for film and television), audio engineering, mixing and assistant studio posts. SAE's degree programs also cover aspects of business management, marketing, legal and contemporary issues.
Audio certificate programs remove much of the technical aspects included in the Diploma, decrease the number of hours in the program, and do not include job placement assistance after graduation. Certificate courses are vocational, or hobby courses, specifically designed for the person who has some equipment and software at home and is currently using it, but wants to get better, to learn the tips and tricks, and improve their overall production skills without having to get deep into the actual know-how of being a professional producer or engineer like the Diploma program does.
